I do not have an answer as to how this happened and why Greene won the nomination. I sincerely hope that Mr. Greene wants to become a good Senator for his state. Maybe he even wants to push South Carolina to drop these archaic laws that serve only to punish minorities for ‘acting up.’ Maybe he wants to stand against the Plutocracy that is becoming the United States. If Alvine Greene ran for office of his own volition and has sincere attempts to do the job as a Democratic Senator for South Carolina, than I applaud him. He has every right to run for office and could very well be a refreshing change to what South Carolina has had in the past. He does have a degree in Political Science, so he is more qualified than Sarah Palin already. Or maybe the GOP put Greene on the ballot to give DeMint an easy win. DeMint is pretty far New Right. He published a book in 2009 entitled: Saving Freedom: We Can Stop America’s Slide into Socialism (Fidelis, Nashville, 2009). And he did only win in 2004 by 54%.
